For graduations, from kindergarten to PhD

Extra! Extra! Somebody's graduating.

Family, friends and teachers each file a story, a photo, a piece of advice or a proud little scoop. We set it all as a real newspaper, online and in print, ready to hand over on the big day.

How it works

  1. Start the edition

Add the graduate's name, or the whole class, plus the ceremony date. Then choose a website, printed copies, or both.

  2. Invite the people who were there

One link for family, friends and teachers, or personal invites. Everyone gets a byline.

  3. Everyone files

Proud stories, old photos, advice and the occasional embarrassing tale. Seal a piece and it stays hidden until graduation day.

  4. Hand it over at the ceremony

The newspaper goes live for the graduate on the day, and the printed copies are ready for the party, the grandparents and the fridge door.

Questions

Can we keep it a surprise from the graduate?

Yes. Only the people you invite can see it, and sealed pieces stay hidden from everyone until you reveal the edition on graduation day.

Can we make one for a whole class?

Absolutely. Name the edition for the whole class, and invite classmates, families and teachers to write. Everyone gets a byline, and everyone can read the finished paper.

Can teachers contribute?

Yes, and they often write the pieces people keep. Invite them with the same link, or send personal invitations. There is no password; they sign in with a link we email them.

Can we print copies for the party?

Yes. Each person in your package gets a copy, and extra copies are $14 each ($12 from 50, $10 from 100). We ship to one address or collect each person's address for you.

How many stories can each person write?

As many as they like. The price covers each person's place, not each story.

How long does the website stay up?

Twelve months, then $19 a year if you want to keep it online. If it lapses, it is archived, never deleted, and can be brought back whenever you like.

What if we write more than fits?

Each place includes up to 2 pages. If the class writes more, we flag it before layout so you can trim, or add pages one 4-page sheet at a time. Nothing is printed until you agree.

Can people chip in?

Yes. Share the chip-in link and classmates, families and teachers can add any amount. It is taken off what you pay.
